	DOT Sealant Silspec Nosing Dow Corning D. O. T. Approve Highway Silicone Sealants Highway, airport, and parking deck joints call for a tough sealant that can withstand excessive horizontal and vertical movement, has good weatherability and is easy to install with a short downtime and long service life. Dow Corning brand silicone pavement sealants can do the job. Dow Corning 888 Silicone Joint Sealant and Dow Corning 890-SL Self-Leveling Silicone Joint Sealant are one-part silicone formulations that can be installed in new or old joints.
	Dow Corning 890 SL self-leveling silicone sealant cures to an ultra-low-modulus, +100/-50 movement. Dow Corning 890 is designed to perform as a durable joint seal for asphalt and/or concrete pavements. Dow Corning 890 SL does not require tooling. Dow Corning 888 non-sag silicone sealant cures to a low modulus, +100/-50 movement. It is especially effective for sealing transverse contraction and expansion joints, longitudinal, center line and shoulder joints in Portland Cement Concrete. Dow Corning 888 does require tooling. Dow Corning 890SL and 888 are available in 29 oz. quart cartridges, 4.5 gal. Pails, and 50 gal. Drums.
	Dow Corning Bridge Joint Silicone Sealant is a fast cure sealant that will allow for traffic back onto the bridge immediately. Dow Corning 902 RCS (Rapid Cure Silicone) Joint Sealant is a self-leveling, cold-applied, rapid-cure, two-part, easy-to-install, ultra-low-modulus, 100 percent silicone rubber sealant designed to seal expansion joints that experience both thermal and/or vertical movements due to traffic loading. Dow Corning 902 RCS Joint Sealant can be used for new and remedial applications, Its rapid cure is especially well suited for maintenance work, such as bridge joint resealing, where resealing must be completed within a short period of time (i.e. less than 8 hours) to minimize traffic disruption. It is available in Dow Corning E-Z Pak sausages; easy to load, use and dispose, minimizing waste, and it is available in 40 oz. and 9 lb. kits. Dow Corning Primer 1205, 1593 and Barrier Primer are also available.

SSI	X. J. S. Expansion Joint System The X. J. S. Expansion Joint System is a revolutionary new concept in expansion joint construction and rehabilitation, combining a tough, wear-resistant polymer for expansion joint nosing and a rapid-curing, high movement silicone for joint sealing. The system, which is cold applied, is specifically designed to provide a watertight, chemical-resistant seal to accommodate high traffic loads and remain pliable in cold and warm temperatures. Also, the silicone sealant in the system will bond to itself. This is ideal for maintenance applications where only one traffic lane can be sealed at a time, but where a continuous seal is required when the adjacent lanes are eventually sealed. The rapid curing ability of the X. J. S. System makes it an excellent choice for highways, bridges, airfields, parking decks and other high volume traffic areas that require short closure times. Non-rush hour installation time is possible, helping avoid traffic backups and costly overtime. These traffic areas may be opened shortly after complete installation of the X. J. S. System. The X. J. S. System is also a cost-effective, easily repairable method for reconstruction of failed expansion joints, at a fraction of the cost of conventional joint repair alternative. (X. J. Due to its relatively low viscosity, Silspec 900 PNS is easy to mix and place. It cures to a dense, semiflexible polymer that is resistant to chemicals, weather, abrasion and impact. The polymer is mixed with Silspec Blended Aggregate. This combination forms a polymer-based mortar for joint repair or nosing. Flex Patch Polymer Patching Mortar A three component, 100% solids, multi-purpose, high- strength, non-shrink, waterproof, non-conductive, semi-flexible polymer patching mortar for longer lasting patches with excellent workability. The system combines a high quality polymer resin and curing agent with an engineered blend of graded aggregates. Dow Corning 902 RCS (Rapid Cure Sealant) is required to seal the rapid bridge joint.
